This Galvanised steel tree represents a new ERA in Northern Ireland were once bitterly divided communities-have now come together to share power in Government with each other in a new devolved assembly. For Decades hundreds of people from both communities have been injured and killed but that has all changed now and there is much hope for a peaceful and prosperous future

THE BASE OF THIS NATIVE OAK TREE is cut out in the shape of NORTHERN IRELAND!

THE FIRST PART OF THE TRUNK (14CM diameter) represents the first minister/unionist community and has 6 branches protruding which represents the 6 unionist ministers in this new Government!

THE NEXT PART OF THE TRUNK ( 12CM Diameter ) represents the deputy first minister/nationalist/republican community and has 4 branches protruding representing the 4 nationalist/republican ministers in government!

THERE ARE 2 BRANCHES COMING OUT OF THE TOP OF THE TREE which represents the 2 junior ministers of the office of the first and deputy first minister!

THERE ARE A TOTAL OF 108 LEAVES ON THE TREE representing the 108 elected members of the government.

THE ACORNS ON THIS TREE send out a great message of HOPE to other troubled countries through out the world, as they have seen similar seeds once sown here taking root and branching out to both communities in a way that promotes peace and tolerance.

THE DOVE ON THIS TREE really makes this a unique piece of sculpture representing a brighter and a more peaceful future for this country!

THERE IS A 2.5CM THREADED STOP END near the top of the tree which if removed can allow for leads of decorative lights or pipe for water feature to be brought up through centre of trunk.
