Band 7 Biomedical Scientist Required

Pulse staffing has an opportunity available in Northern Ireland for a Band 7 Biomedical Scientist.

The successful candidate will be based in Cytopathology

For an immediate temporary full-time vacancy required up to 18 December 2009 initially.

Applicants must have the following:

· Be registered with the Health Professions Council

· Have a certificate of Competence in Cervical Cytology and have reported specimens within the last 3 months

· A minimum of 5 years post registration experience in Cytopathology

· Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (FIBMS) or MSc or equivalent in Biomedical Sciences in Cellular Pathology


It is desirable that applicants have:
Practical experience in issuing cervical smear reports at a senior level
Practical experience of screening non-gynaecological specimens
Extensive experience in working in all sections of Cytology laboratory

This post will require vetting.
