Who has had enough of the people we vote for?
Who has had enough of the lack of action on employment, youth issues, the environment, crime, policing, agriculture, the public sector, business, the arts, language, sport?
Who is sick and tired of everything in Northern Ireland coming down to who's Catholic and who's Protestant?
Who has had enough of two main parties that carve up everything to ensure they remain in power, while the others sit around and watch pathetically?
Who has had enough of octogenarian councillors?
Who has had enough of not being able to vote for a party that has a clear manifesto above and beyond the sectarian head count?
Who has had enough of political cronyism, of politicians being able to slander gay people, of crooked property deals and extensive expense accounts?
Who has had enough of education being messed about?
I've had enough. I have had ENOUGH.
I'd like to start something, but I don't know how or where.
I don't care who my politicians have slept with. I don't care if they do drugs. I don't care if they are caught breaking the speed limit. I don't care if they are Catholic or Protestant. If they are straight or gay. If they are working class, middle class or landed gentry. If they are male or female.
But I do care that they are smart.
I do care that so many of them are cunning , but are not smart.
I want my politicians to be about smart. About creative thinking. About solutions. About ability to do the job.
I want my council to be more than about public loos and my assembly to be more than hand-wringers.
Who else has had enough?
And what are we going to do about it?
